LITTLE PRINCE
135m, 8L-1, IV + + and A1oV, R1, I, SW. (Mephysto and Marilu'-26.11.2007) The Little Prince is dedicated to the way others do not is that the kid who, on opening day, Marilu was carrying the fifth full month of gestation. She is my admiration and gratitude x "the Company" made. I would also like to thank the legendary Depalmik superhero (mythological figure from the body half man and half pig's foot), whose famous iperpoteri have been valuable in the subsequent work of "finishing" of the route. MephystoCollegando aesthetic pillars and solid slabs from the base of white cloth (minor peak of the wall SO Mount Sellaro) to the top, the route proposed will draw a line that maintains the relationship between high altitude available, quality of rock and logical time to the "conquest of the summit." The result is a discontinuous way so (3 shots are of the "link") and relatively little trouble (except for L1), but still equipped with its own character and wonderful views. In fact, while low altitude, Mount Sellaro imposes its 1400m directly in front of the Plain of Sybaris, offering breathtaking views of the surroundings and incomparable views of the lower Gulf of Taranto and the Sila (SE-S) or Falconara (O). There also remains an excellent opportunity to visit the beautiful sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Armi.Attacco: From the Sanctuary, following the marked path that leads to the summit, once out of the trees, you can find in the area of \u200b\u200bwhite cloth that extends + down to the woods, a picturesque square pillar-shaped blade knife (small side approximately 2m). After having gained about 200m in altitude leave the path far to the right and follow one of several terraces of reforestation, through the entire valley, lead, again on land devoid of vegetation, close to the white cloth, are now close to the pillar, I pull away.
Descent: From the top down on rocks in a clockwise direction is brought back to the ledge and continue on S5 (NO) to the saddle between two peaks of Sellaro. Continuing from here the path of going to the shrine (20min).
DESCRIPTION: L1: Attach the + side of the pillar up close to thin flat saddle with a stop (S1/2fix), taking care to move to the front left 1m after the fix, then returned shortly after x (30m, V + OA1, stop ch and fix) L2: 20m (IV, IV +) - In the vertical stop plate resting on and then, before the tree on the left side of the dihedral (10m/IV +) until you pass (left) near the edge. Then, plaque and small overhang x, x notch, you get parked (S2/2fix) on steps (10m/IV).
L3: 30m (II) - X easy rocks to the ridge, the first uphill, then downhill, go to the next ledge in front of visible plaque given to O, with 2 fix the base (S3) (30m/II, walking) .
L4: 25m (IV + IV) - The VERTICAL plate caught on the break x until cengetta (15m/IV + IV-), then x dihedral / crack to the apex (10m/IV), where we stop to fix + cl (S4) (to look a bit 'left from the exit).
L5: 30m (you walking) - Follow the ledge to the left pointing down the tree and stand under a tall pillar (S4bis) on 2fix.
L6: 40m (IV, IV +, V-, III +) - X dihedral cracked (face right compact and slightly leaning) to reach the terrace on the left (15m, IV +), from which, with a clear stud left again, you are bringing in Full Pillar (V-), which continues with decreasing difficulty until parked (S5/2fix) (IV +, IV, III).
L7: 40m (II, walking, III-) - continue easily (II) on the crest towards the NE and, after two Saltini (III-) stand (S6/1fix) under low stress.

thank all the fans on behalf of his friend Guido Ton and his wife for the construction of the trail with a lot of story (fantastic) and report. NB: the task is limited to the accompaniment of local guides in place as these skills relate to other professionals.
The route is reserved for people equipped and competent (mountaineers). We recommend care and caution for the presence of unstable rock and crumbly.
