Chicken Pox Virus Kifetime

visit: The National Archaeological Museum of Villa Giulia

What Villa Giulia is one of the greatest archaeological museums dedicated to Etruscan culture, coupled with the findings of that Falisca, and a visit to do for those who are absolutely interested in these topics.
Inside collected testimonies of these two cultures and in the period from the Iron Age to Roman times, especially in the area between Tuscany and the Tiber. The materials that are exposed are made according to a topographical criteria that include areas with ono Vulci Bisenzio, Veii, Cerveteri and Pyrgi, plus a couple of rooms dedicated to Palestrina and Umbria.
The museum in its together is a truly unique experience, but the feeling you get in front of some of history's most famous artifacts of archeology Etruscan are absolutely indescribable.
I am speaking in particular of the "Sarcophagus of the Spouses " a unique work of superb craftsmanship
which moves to the fineness of the workmanship, for the sense of pa that there trasmetton or alter their faces, and for the preservation ion perfect that did come up today an absolute masterpiece.
Then there is "the Apollo of Veii "
the polychrome terracotta statue is a masterpiece of Etruscan art in the late sixth century BC, another wonderful work that gives us a wealth of information really unique, both on the sti of sculpture and painting of the period on clothing of the period. A work of an expressive and emotional plasticity that leaves you enchanted.
Last but not least, There are
the "Gold Foil Pyrgi ", a sort of Rosetta stone , and that, quoting written in Etruscan and n Phoenician help the understanding of a language that finally is increasingly discovering, that is the Etruscan writing.
In their delicacy, fragility and value are so high that ì not apparent from the simple to see those small engraved plates, but that brings us back to an ancient time and there open the doors to its understanding. But I know
no infi nite objects on which you can lose hours of careful observation for their finesse and beauty: masonry on the gable topped by geese Vulci kit bronze Tomb of the Four Fountains at Veii, the truck and the ceremonial urn with figures dancing on the shoulder and on the cover, from Bisenzio, Sardinian bronze by the famous omaggiante Vulci the beautiful golden kotyle with handles decorated with figures of sphinxes finished granulation, together with all the precious furnishings in gold, silver, ivory and bronze gravestone Preneste complex, the first production of bucchero first and the Etruscan-Corinthian vases. And I could go on for pages describing the wonderful exhibits, but it's much better to go to see them in person.

In addition, in these days, until September, is held in the rooms is also a connection to the world of comics who tried to popularize the culture of the past by bringing the pages of a comic book stories of some Etruscan setting I must say that I dislike him very style in which they are made, but I appreciate the effort that might allow a better and greater use of so great a treasure of our past.

Enjoy your visit.
